The deVere Group is relocating its offices in Doha to larger quarters, in order to accommodate its rapidly-growing staff there.
DeVere said it is moving its offices to the well-known Doha Tower (pictured, centre), as it looks to increase the staff of 33 to 65 employees by 2017.
At 550sq m, The new office is almost three times the size of the previous one, according to deVere.
Jason O’Leary, area manager of the deVere Group in Qatar, said the company is currently looking to hire advisers as well as support and admin staff. He said the growth was coming in spite of a down-turn in spending in Qatar that has resulted from the plunge in global oil prices, and “a number of expats leaving” the country as a result.
Helping Doha to buck the effects of the oil industry’s slump, he noted, has been a steady flow of new arrivals who are coming to Qatar ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
Headquartered in Dubai, deVere currently has more than 70 offices, around 80,000 clients and US$10bn under advice globally.
