Jersey-based Enhance Group has opened an outpost in London’s Mayfair district to cater for “a small number of clients and their trusted advisers” with a range of bespoke advice services, including portfolio construction.
The new office is being headed up by Tom Wiseman (pictured), whose title is managing director of Enhance London. Enhance’s head of research for the past two years, Dr Ruzhen Li, is also to be based there.
Wiseman’s credentials include being a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, while Dr Li is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Prior to joining Enhance at the end of last year, Wiseman had been a partner with Seven Investment Management.
In addition to advising on portfolio construction, the new Enhance Investment Consultancy will help clients with their liquid and illiquid manager selection and oversight, as well as “the custody arrangements associated with global wealth”, according to a statement announcing the new office.
Enhance Group was founded in 2005 in Jersey by James Painter and Richard Sayers. It also has an office in the Cayman Islands, and last year opened one in Singapore. According to its website it currently has around £20bn of client assets under review.
Wiseman said the fact that Enhance Investment Consultancy, or EIC, is a “truly independent company” meant that it is “ideally placed to provide our clients with un-conflicted investment advice that is squarely in their best interests”.
