St. James’s Place Wealth Management Asia (SJP Asia), the international business of St. James’s Place Wealth Management has opened its new Singapore office.

Situated in the Raffles Place district, where some of Singapore’s largest buildings are situated, the company said that the move to larger headquarters marks SJP Asia’s “enduring commitment to Singapore”, as it bids to develop a stronger presence in the local market and build on its expatriate focused business.

Since it originally established St. James’s Place in Asia in 2014, the Singapore branch has more than doubled in size, the company said in a statement.

David Bellamy, chief executive of St. James’s Place Wealth Management and Bicky Bhangu, president of British Chamber of Commerce Singapore, are set to attend the official ceremony at One Raffles Place later today.

‘Collaborative’

“The SJP expansion is a clear reflection of the strong economic ties and relationships that Singaporean and UK businesses continue to enjoy,” said Bhangu. “This is a great example of positive outcomes from collaborative relationships, and we look forward to SJP’s continued growth as the two countries forge ever stronger ties.”

“We look forward to working with the excellent talent in Singapore and in building our presence here for both local and expatriate clients,” added Bellamy.
