Aetna International, the international arm of Hartford, Connecticut-based health insurance provider Aetna, has unveiled what it says is a freshly-redesigned portal for its members, called Health Hub, to enable them to better manage their healthcare matters online.
It said its experts had re-designed the portal following an “extensive review of Aetna International’s members’ use of previous online tools”, and a study of their searches for information about their health.
It said the new portal will make the information most in demand by its members – including their plan details, access claims records and search for in-network doctors and medical facilities as well as medical information, tips on wellness, and how to stay healthy – “quickly and easily accessible on a variety of platforms, including mobile devices”.
Aetna is one of the largest providers of international private medical insurance services, with more than 700,000 members worldwide, including expatriates, local nationals and business travellers. Its global footprint expanded in 2014 when it acquired UK-based IPMI specialist InterGlobal.
