Jersey Finance, the globally-focused marketing arm for Jersey’s financial services industry, has named William McGilivray to head up its London office as business development director, effective immediately.
He succeeds Richard Nunn, who continues with Jersey Finance as business development director of its Middle East operations.
Most recently McGilivray, (pictured), had been a director at Bedell Trust.
He began his career in the US, where he is from originally, and came to London in 2008. In addition to working in wealth management, he has also had roles in the corporate and institutional banking sector, as well as alternative investment funds, Jersey Finance said in a statement.
McGilivray received an undergraduate degree in business from St. Michael’s College in Vermont, in the US, and an MBA with from Clarkson University in New York.
As Jersey Finance’s London-based business development director, McGilivray will be responsible for identifying opportunities and building relationships between Jersey and the City, and for supporting member firms with their private wealth management, funds and capital markets growth strategies.
In addition to its outposts in Dubai and London, Jersey Finance also maintains a business development offices in Hong Kong.
