Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (EdRAM) has proceeded to several appointments in UK, the rest of Europe and Asia
The firm has appointed Agnès Belaisch as head of the Asset Allocation and the Sovereign Debt Team. She will be based in London and will report to Benjamin Melman.
Prior to joining the firm, Belaisch was in charge of economic and market analysis at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). Previously, she was responsible for the emerging market strategy at Threadneedle Asset Management in London where she also managed an emerging sovereign debt fund.
Before that, Belaisch spent 10 years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) where she became an expert in several emerging countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Laurent Le Grin, who recently attended the InvestmentEurope‘s Autumn Pan-European Fund Selector Summit in Hamburg, has been promoted as head of Convertible Bonds in the corporate debt team led by Kris Deblander. He was hitherto based in EdRAM’s Paris’ office as a convertible bond manager.
Alina Epifantseva and Thibaut Bailly join Le Grin’s London team as fund managers/analysts.
In Frankfurt, Sascha Pilz has been appointed executive director of German and Austrian institutional clients. In Switzerland, Mélanie Böttcher-Hackl (sales support) and Samantha Phillips (sales) have been added to the distribution team.
In Italy, Elena Bossola, who was previously in charge of fund buying, has been appointed head of Third Party Distribution. EdRAM’s Italian sales team now tallies six members.
EdRAM has hired Benjamine Nicklaus as portfolio manager and analyst, to meet demand on financial debt investment and research. With the launch of EdR Fund Global Data, the international equity team has been boosted with the arrival of Nan Zhang, a fund manager and analyst.
Both Nicklaus and Zhang will be based in Paris.
Finally, after setting up a representative office in Shanghai, EdRAM has opened a new office in Beijing in order to benefit from the Chinese market’s long term prospects.
