PEOPLE MOVES: Fidelity, Brooks Macdonald, Aberdeen, Weatherbys

Fidelity

Fidelity International has boosted its multi asset team, with the news that it has appointed of Chris Forgan (pictured left) as co-portfolio manager.

Forgan will be part of its 34-strong multi asset team which has nearly £40bn of assets under management, and will specifically be part of the fast-growing multi-asset income franchise (now at £6.4bn assets under management), according to Fidelity International statistics.

Forgan joins from Henderson Global Investors, and will be reporting to James Bateman, chief investment officer, multi asset at Fidelity International.

 

Brooks Macdonald

UK investment managers Brooks Macdonald has promoted Jonathan Mynes to head of adviser solutions to support the firm’s endeavours to expand internationally.

Mynes (pictured left) will be operating with the team from its Jersey base, having previously been in the Guernsey office as investment team director.

He has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

He will be supported by business development director Linda McLaren, who has 16 years’ experience of managing international financial adviser relationships, and relationship manager Matthew Wintour, who has 12 years’ experience in the sector.

Aberdeen Asset Management

Steen Foldberg has been made head of Luxembourg for Aberdeen Asset Management and managing director of Aberdeen Global Services, its cross-border management company.

Foldberg (pictured left) previously worked at Julius Baer, the Swiss private bank, where he was managing director.

Aberdeen opened its office in the principality in 2006 and from here manages 90 funds with US$66.3m in assets under management.

 

Weatherbys Private Bank

Quentin Marshall has been promoted to head of private banking upon the retirement of Adrian Crichton.

Marshall has been deputy head of private banking since 2015, when he joined the bank from Coutts.

AMP Capital

The Sydney-headquartered A$165bn investment manager has announced two high-profile appointments.

The first is Niamh McBreen who has been appointed as an investment director in the London-based infrastructure equity asset management team.

McBreen (pictured left) joins from UK Government Investments, a division of HM Treasury.

And in Sydney, Stasha Prnjatovic takes on the same role, but with a focus on energy. Ms Prnjatovic also joins from a government role; in her case, the New South Wales Treasury.

Bluebay Asset Management

Zhenbo Hou is joining Bluebay Asset Management’s emerging markets research team in London.

He joins the US$52bn fixed-income manager owned by Canadian bank RBC from the Bank of China.
