Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed four new members to its research team.
Dominic Barnes has joined as a fixed income portfolio manager, Esther Gilbert as a fixed income analyst, while Marcus Blyth and Adrian Todd have both joined as fund selection specialists.
Barnes was hitherto working as director at Credit Suisse Private Bank & Wealth Management. Prior to that, he held roles as fixed income specialist at Merrill Lynch International and in the fixed interest departments of MeesPierson Securities and at the Bank of Butterfield.
Gilbert joins from AXA IM, where she was a portfolio manager and fixed income investment analyst. She also worked as a fixed income fund manager at SC Davies & Co, a private wealth manager.
Prior to joining Investec, Blyth worked Kleinwort Benson, where he covered collective investment schemes across all sectors. Formerly, he was an investment Analyst at Architas covering Asia, UK small cap equities and emerging market debt.
Todd was previously working at Coutts, where he analysed third-party funds across discretionary investment portfolios globally. Before Coutts, Todd worked at Moneycorp, one of the UK’s leading commercial foreign exchange specialists.
Investec has strengthened its research team, being convicted that “increased market volatility over the medium term will create more challenging conditions in which to generate meaningful risk-adjusted investment returns for its clients.”
