Bordier UK, the London-based asset management arm of Switzerland’s Bordier & Cie Group, has added to its sales and marketing team with two senior hires.
Andrew Clotworthy joins as business development manager, and Andrew Rowlands as marketing manager, as Bordier bids to expand its reach to both direct and on-platform introducers and clients, Bordier said.
Clotworthy, whose financial services career includes a 16-year stint with Charles Stanley – part of this in the role of sales director – joins Bordier from Canaccord Genuity, where he was in charge of intermediary distribution.
At Bordier UK, he will have responsibility for the development of the business’s network of relationships with investment intermediaries, lawyers and accountants in his new position and for building on the firm’s existing provider partnerships, the company said. He will also work closely with the professional adviser community, and will report to sales and marketing director David Muncaster.
Rowlands began his career in the retail marketing department of UBS Global Asset Management, and joins Bordier UK after five years with Brooks Macdonald as a marketing executive. Rowlands will report to head of marketing, Lucy Goldsworthy in his new role.
Bordier didn’t say whether Clothworthy and Rowlands succeeded anyone in their new roles.
Bordier UK formerly was known as Berry Asset Management PLC, but rebranded in 2014, to take on the name of its owner, Bordier & Cie, a Swiss bank that dates back to the 1840s. Jamie Berry, who founded Berry Asset Management in 1981, remains its executive chairman.
