People Moves: Aviva, Columbia Threadneedle, Nucleus, Hawksford

Aviva
Aviva Investors has hired eight fund managers from Standard Life Aberdeen’s equity team for its new Edinburgh office. The hires include Mikhail Zverev, who has been appointed as head of global equities and Alistair Way, who has been named head of global emerging market equities.

They are joined by UK equity managers Henry Flockhart and Adam McInally, global equity duo Jaime Ramos Martin and Ross Mathison, and GEM pair Jonathan Toub and Will Malcolm.

Columbia Threadneedle
Vanessa DoneganColumbia Threadneedle has announced that its head of Asian equities Vanessa Donegan will retire after 32 years at the firm.

Donegan is one of the longest serving female fund managers in the City and has been involved in the industry for 35 years.

 

Mediolanum
Mediolanum Asset Management (MAML), the Irish asset management company of the Mediolanum Banking Group, has appointed Christophe Jaubert as its new Head of Investment Performance.

Jaubert has 24 years of investment management experience. He joins from Rothschild HDF Investment Solutions in Paris where he served as chief investment officer. Prior to this, he worked for HDF Finance, with responsibility across Paris, New York, Singapore and Geneva.

Nucleus
Nucleus has poached Valerie Rogerson from Standard Life to head its client relations team.

Rogerson, who joins Nucleus with more than 10 years’ experience, was most recently head of customer service strategy and proposition at Standard Life.

Hawksford 
Hawksford  has announced Marcus Hinkley as the new head of private client Asia. He  joins the company from the Singapore office of international law firm Withers KhattarWong.

Hinkley has international experience having held private client legal roles in the Caribbean, Channel Islands and Asian financial services markets, as well as New Zealand.

Standard Life
Standard Life-owned 1825’s has appointed Mike Cullinane as the new managing director for the North West branch. He replaces David Williams who is moving to a new position within 1825.

Cullinane is currently a regional manager in Standard Life UK distribution. According to his LinkedIn profile, he leads an adviser sales team in the north of England.
