The former co-portfolio manager of the Man GLG Strategic Bond and Corporate Bond funds Jon Mawby has joined Pictet Asset Management in July as senior portfolio manager.
Pictet has confirmed to International Investment’s sister website InvestmentEurope that Mawby has been appointed within the Swiss manager’s total return fixed income team.
Mawby is now a co-portfolio manager of the €288m long/short credit Pictet TR Kosmos fund alongside Pictet’s head of Total Return Credit, Kazik Swiderski.
Mawby had resigned from his portfolio management roles at Man GLG last April after more than six years running the firm’s Strategic Bond and Corporate Bond funds.
He had been replaced by co-manager Andy Li who took sole responsibility for the management of the funds shortly after his departure.
Prior to his tenure at Man GLG, Mawby worked as portfolio manager at European Credit Management (ECM) as well as at Gartmore and Aviva Investors.
