Old Mutual International (OMI) has launched a new International Investment Bond in the Middle East and Africa.
OMI said in a statement announcing the launch, that this latest product ‘completes’ the company’s global offshore bond range.
Through the new fund, advisers will have access to a range of funds that are selected from “well-known” fund managers, via OMI’s ‘GlobalSelect’ range, the company said.
Alternatively, advisers who want wider access to fund selection can use the ‘SelfSelect’ range of funds, which provides access to a greater range of funds from a focused selection of fund groups. Both options are available through OMI’s Wealth Interactive online platform.
Advisers can assess their clients’ individual attitude to risk, to link clients to an appropriate portfolio of assets and to then automatically manage and rebalance these portfolios.
Another investment option is phased investment, which allows advisers the option to phase in a lump sum investment over time to smooth the risk of investing in volatile markets.

Advisers who wish to outsource the investment choice to an investment expert will be able to access the Compass Portfolio range, which are risk-targeted multi-asset portfolios managed by OMI parent company Old Mutual Wealth’s multi-asset team.
A new simplified charging structure removes asset dealing charges, giving more freedom to advisers and customers to switch investments as they choose without being restrained by additional costs, OMI said.
As reported, OMI has now delivered new offshore bond solutions in the UK, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America during 2017.
Brendan Dolan, sales director, Old Mutual International, said that the launch completes its strategy of delivering new solutions targeted at different customer segment, in order to meet demand.
“As a business we continue to deliver innovative and fresh solutions,” he said. “The international advice landscape is changing, and clients now demand greater access, flexibility, simplicity and improved investment outcomes. I feel confident these new breed solutions will have a positive impact and deliver benefits to both advisers and their clients.”
