IFGL which owns the RL360, RL360 Services and Ardan International brands – has appointed two senior staff to fill new roles.
Sue-Ann Ind has joined as group risk director, while Donald McLeod takes on the role of RL360’s chief actuary. IFGL’s Chief Executive David Kneeshaw said: “These two senior roles have been created to reflect the recent and future growth of IFGL. Both Sue-Ann and Donald will be excellent additions to our senior team.”
As group risk director, Ind will take responsibility for Risk, Legal and Compliance across all of IFGL’s companies. She joins from Old Mutual Plc in the UK, where she was risk and compliance director.
As RL360’s chief actuary, McLeod will report to appointed actuary Alistair Brogden and together they will shape the group’s actuarial functions as it looks to the future and the acquisition of Friends Provident International. He has joined from Scottish Friendly Assurance in the UK, where he was head of actuarial.
Indosuez Wealth Management
Julien Collin has been named head of markets, investment and structuring in Singapore for Indosuez Wealth Management.
He is responsible for providing global asset allocation advice, investment solutions and recommendations to Indosuez’s ultra-high net worth clients serviced by Singapore-based relationship managers.
Collin leads a team of 35 professionals in Singapore, covering foreign exchange and precious metals, structured products, advisory, discretionary portfolio management, private equity, funds, execution, real estate, wealth structuring and credit structuring activities.
Majedie Asset Management
Independent investment boutique announced that both BlackRock’s Mark Wharrier and Imran Sattar will soon join its UK equities team as fund managers.
After ten years with the firm, Chris Reid, who currently lead manages the Majedie UK Income Fund and is one of four co-managers of the Majedie UK Focus Fund, will leave at the end of June to pursue a Masters in Finance degree.
Wharrier will lead manage the Majedie UK Income Fund, alongside existing co-manager Yuri Khodjamirian and fund analysts Mike Totton and Emily Barnard. Sattar will co-manage the Majedie UK Focus Fund, alongside existing managers James de Uphaugh, Chris Field and Matthew Smith.
Wharrier was a managing director at BlackRock until 2017, receiving an AA-rating from Citywire and successfully managing the BlackRock UK Income Fund, before leaving to join Troy Asset Management.
Sattar joins Majedie from BlackRock, where he was a managing director and UK equity fund manager within the fundamental equity division of BlackRock’s Alpha Strategies Group. He has successfully managed a number of segregated mandates for both corporate and local authority clients and co-managed the BlackRock UK Focus Fund.
