Eaton Vance has appointed Shiva Iyer as vice president and senior global income trader.

He is responsible for identifying, recommending and executing trades for Eaton Vance’s global income and other strategies.

His role includes monitoring Asian financial markets and following political and economic developments in the region.

Iyer joins from Goldman Sachs in Singapore, where he focused on foreign exchange and fixed income sales and trading.

Formerly, he was an assistant vice president and global trader at Eaton Vance in Boston and held a number of roles at Pacific Investment Management Company (Pimco), SKS Microfinance and Infosys Technologies Ltd.

Eaton Vance established its presence in Singapore in 2012.

Eaton Vance and its affiliates managed $334.4bn (€299bn) in assets as of 31 July 2016.
