March Asset Management, which has anglicised its name from March Gestión to reflect the growing international scope of its business, has appointed Francisco Rodríguez to its commercial team to support further growth after a year in which AUM rose some 30% to over €5.3bn.
Rodríguez (pictured) will report to Lorenzo Parages, the recently appointed former head of Allfunds Bank in Chile.
Rodríguez previously worked at Funds People covering Europe and Latin America. He has also worked for BBVA AM in Caracas, Venezuela, managing a mixed fund of some $65m, and at Old Mutual Wealth as a financial analyst in Milan.
March Asset Management CEO José Luis Jimenez said: “Francisco’s appointment strengthens our commercial team which will further the rapid growth experienced by the company which finished 2014 with over €5.3bn under management – an increase of over 30% over the previous year”.
The recent appointments by March AM reflect its growth into more markets from its historical roots managing assets of the founding family of Banca March, the privately owned bank that in turn owns March AM.
As part of the anglicisation of its name, March AM has also adopted a new logo:
