Scott Balsdon, who has been managing director of Globaleye for the past four-and-a-half years and with the Dubai-based advisory company for a total of nine years, has left, according to Globaleye chairman Tim Searle.
“We have parted ways,” Searle said, adding that no successor will be named for the role.
Searle said he didn’t know where Balsdon had gone, and Balsdon didn’t reply to requests for comment. One source said he had returned to the UK, and that he was in discussions with at least one other advisory firm about a possible role.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Balsdon joined Globaleye as a wealth manager in March 2008 from deVere and Partners. In October 2008, he was named vice president – wealth management, and then senior vice president in January 2011.
Globaleye was founded by Searle in 1995 in Dubai, and currently has nine other outposts around the world, with plans for another three.
