Advent Capital Management is welcoming a new managing director and portfolio manager, Matthew Dundon to its alternative investment team based in New York.
Dundon will work with current portfolio managers of the US investment management firm managing $8.5 bn in assets (€7.4bn), in order to target opportunities across the alternatives market.
Previously, he held a portfolio manager role at Pine Capital River, where he focused on North American high-yield, distressed debt and reorganised equities. Dundon also worked for GMP Securities, Alston & Bird, Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
Advent is also adding Marc Aylett as vice president to its high-yield team and Brian Hertzog as vice president to its research staff.
Aylett will move from Pomelo Capital where he is employed as a managing director and senior research analyst. Prior to joining Pomelo Capital, he worked for Barclays Capital as a director and senior analyst, and Lehman Brothers focusing on investment banking then high yield credit research.
Hertzog, who will analyze the global technology sector for Advent, was hitherto in charge of technology research for the small and mid-cap technology strategies as portfolio manager at Putnam Global Technology.
