GDPR is coming: II updates privacy policy

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) becomes law across the European Union on Friday 25 May.

This new law mandates that any organisation that holds data of a personal nature must implement new policy in respect of how that data is collected and used. Additional safeguards must be put in place. The Regulation also carries stiff penalties for businesses that do not adhere to the new law. Also, as a Regulation rather than a Directive, the rules will be implemented across the entire EU at the same time and in exactly the same way.

Open Door Media Publishing, the publisher of International Investment, has accordingly updated the privacy policy applied across all its business lines. A link to the new policy is provided here: http://www.internationalinvestment.net/privacy-policy/.

The link is also visible in the footer of the website for any user who wishes to find it in future.

Further information on GDPR and how businesses can prepare for its impact can be had from the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office, or its peers in other EU jurisdictions (https://ico.org.uk)
