People moves: London & Capital appoints head of institutions; new adviser at Mercer Jelf FP

Kate Miller has been appointed head of Institutions for London & Capital, the independent wealth and asset manager.

Her role will be to grow the international institutional business from its current level around US$1bn, including, it is understood, captive business from insurers.

Previously, Miller (pictured) was a director at P-Solve, and institutional consultant, and before that was a consultant and chief operating officer at Meridian Investment Consultancy in areas of captive, mutual and offshore insurance clients.

Mercer Jelf Financial Planning has also announced an appointment, for Vito Faircloth as financial adviser based in the firm’s Bristol, UK office.

The business is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & Mclennan Companies, and provides consulting in health, wealth and careers. Faircloth’s role will include providing advice to wealth clients as well as developing the growth of the financial planning business across the southern parts of the UK.

Faircloth started his career at Attivo Financial Planning in the area of employee benefits. He joined Investment Quorum as a wealth manager in December 2016 and became the youngest Fellow in the Personal Finance Society’s history.
