BNP Paribas Asset Management, the investment management arm of the Paris-based BNP Paribas banking group, has named Roger Miners chief marketing officer, to be based in London.
Miners (pictured left), succeeds Anthony Finan. He will report to to the global head of BNP Paribas AM’s worldwide sales and marketing opperations, Sandro Pierri, BNP Paribas AM said in a statement.
Miners comes to BNPP AM from Allianz Global Investors, where he worked for 15 years, most recently as chief marketing officer. Prior to Allianz GI, he had been UK chief executive and global head of sales and marketing at RCM Investments, after having headed its team of product specialists.

Allianz Global Investors has named Carl W Pappo chief investment officer for US fixed income, and Frank Salem as senior portfolio manager of fixed income, as it prepares to launch a range of US bond funds for the insurance arm of its parent company, Munich-based insurance and financial services giant Allianz SE.
Pappo and Salem, who are both coming to AllianzGI from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, have worked closely together for the past 10 years, and will join AllianzGI’s US fixed income team in Boston and New York, the company said in a statement announcing their appointment.
Pappo brings more than 25 years’ of asset management experience to his new role, having most recently been lead portfolio manager and head of core fixed income for Columbia Threadneedle.
At Allianz GI, he will report to Franck Dixmier.
Salem most recently has been working on the creation of highly customised liability-driven investment (LDI) strategy products for Columbia Threadneedle’s clients, and has also been responsible for building out the LDI capability at the company, AllianzGI said.
In addition to LDI strategy products, the new AllianzGI bond funds will employ US Core and Core Plus investment strategies, according to AllianzGI.
PGIM Investments, the $1trn investment business of Prudential Financial, has announced the appointment of a chief marketing officer, to assist its global expansion strategy.
Sheri Taylor Gilchrist previously held the roles of managing director and global head of marketing services at Bank of New York Mellon, and will be PGIM’s first-ever CMO, PGIM said. She has also worked at Eaton Vance, Harte Hanks, Epsilon, Young & Roubicam and American Express.
At PGIM she will be responsible for helping to grow the company’s US mutual fund and global UCITS business, particularly in the platform area, the company said.
