Julius Baer poaches four to bulk up Guernsey operation

Julius Baer has lured four executives from rival Swiss bank Credit Suisse, as it looks to boost its private banking presence in Guernsey.

The Zurich-based bank said in a statement that it has hired Andy Phillips, Stefano Bruschini and Tim Bichard as relationship managers, as well as Sam Grayland in its portfolio management team.

The four (pictured above, L-R: Andy Phillip, Sam Grayland, Tim Bichard, Stefano Bruschini) are the latest in a series of similar appointments, as Julius Baer reinforces its Guernsey office, under the leadership of branch manager Paul van Neste.

In May, Julius Baer hired Derek Beatty – also from Credit Suisse – as executive director and senior portfolio manager for its Guernsey team, saying he would work alongside Grant Mellor and Peter van der Schagt.
