Bedell opens Luxembourg office

Offshore fiduciary and legal firm Bedell has opened an office in Luxembourg, from which it says it will look to provide corporate, private equity, real estate and private wealth administration services.

Named to head up the new operation, as directors, are Anne-Catherine Grave (pictured) and Catherine Koch. Existing Bedell director Philip Bolton has also joined the Luxembourg board, Bedell said in a statement on Friday.

Grave is an economist and lawyer who previously worked as executive vice president at Luxembourg-based professional services provider Arendt Services. Prior to that she worked as a tax manager for Ernst & Young in New York.

Koch worked alongside Grave as senior vice president at Arendt Services. Prior to that she was at SGG.

Bedell’s move into Luxembourg brings the number of countries in which it maintains offices to eight. Alongside Luxembourg, they are Jersey, Guernsey, Mauritius, the British Virgin Islands, London, Singapore and Dublin.

The Luxembourg office marks Bedell’s first foray into mainland Europe. Bedell Fund Services managing director Simon Burgess described this expansion as “a natural extension of our service offering”.

He added: “The move to open in Luxembourg broadens our service reach within the EU at a time of considerable growth for our administration and accounting business.”
