Columbia Threadneedle hires new head of institutional for Australia
Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed Glen Giddings, head of institutional, Australia and New Zealand.
Giddings will be responsible for developing the $663 billion fund manager’s institutional business in Australia and New Zealand, focused on serving existing clients and deepening its presence in the regions.
He joins from NAB Asset Management and has almost 20 years’ experience in the institutional business, with roles at Barclays Global Investors and BlackRock.
Giddings reports to Jon Allen, head of distribution, Asia Pacific, and will be responsible for developing Columbia Threadneedle’s institutional business in Australia and New Zealand. His focus is serving existing clients and deepening the firm’s presence in the region.

Likewise, Columbia Threadneedle head of distribution APAC, Jon Allen said Giddings brings a deep knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand institutional markets and a proven track record in business development.

He takes up his position on September 3, which is Sydney-based.
