VAM Funds partners with Novia Global and Old Mutual Int’l

VAM Funds has announced two new partnerships to make its three discretionary funds, managed by Close Brothers, available to advisers using the Novia Global investment platform and Old Mutual International’s Investment Portfolio+.

Clients of Old Mutual International’s ‘Investment Portfolio+’ – an investment product aimed at South African residents – will now be able to access VAM’s Close Brothers fund range and its three strategies.

Advisers can switch their clients between portfolios, with each portfolio diversified by both geography and asset class to offer a mix of equities, fixed income and alternative funds, to suit their needs, VAM said in a statement announcing the partnership arrangements.

The new offering to advisers comes with an annual management charge of 0.85% and follows from the recent launch of a D share class option.

The VAM Funds Close Brothers offering will also be linked to the Novia Global investment platform, alongside the fund manager’s VAM Driehaus fund and a selected single strategy range, including the VAM US Micro Cap Growth fund and VAM Small Cap Growth fund on the platform.

David Macdonald, pictured left, sales and marketing director, VAM Funds, said that over the past twelve months, VAM has been customising and adapting its product and service proposition to make it more attractive to local markets.

This includes, as reported, the latest launch of D share class option, which has been followed with the roll out of a new online valuation tool.

‘Significant growth’

As a result of the changes, Macdonald said that the company has achieved “significant growth” since June 2016, growing the number of investors in its Close Brothers fund range by more than 50% and funds under management by more than 350%.

“As these two agreements show, VAM is committed to developing the already strong local support we offer our clients across our markets,” said Macdonald. “We firmly believe the new links with Novia Global and Old Mutual International will serve to enhance our offering to advisers within the regions we operate.”

Founded in 2001, VAM is a fund management company, fully regulated in Luxembourg under UCITS V legislation, specialising in actively-managed multi-asset and single investment solutions.
