Evans to head up Mideast ops for Old Mutual Int’l

Paul Evans has been promoted to head of region for Old Mutual International in the Middle East and Africa, taking over responsibility for the company’s distribution efforts there from Brendan Dolan, who was recently named sales director.

Evans, pictured above, has been with Old Mutual International for more than 16 years, the last 10 years of which he’s been in its Dubai office.

Most recently he’s overseen the development of OMI’s banking relationships in the region.

In his new role, Evans “will focus on growing and developing Old Mutual International’s reach in the Middle East and Africa”, the company said in a statement, working with its key distribution partners in the region, and continuing its “strategic focus on the high net worth channel”.

Succeeding Evans as area sales manager for the Middle East is
Priyanka Roy, who, for the past two years, has been a sales consultant in the region whose focus has been on developing OMI’s relationships with key local banks.

Dolan, who Evans replaced, “will continue to be involved in the Middle East, but will also cover Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong,” OMI said.

Old Mutual International is a platform-based wealth management and protection products provider that is a part of Old Mutual Wealth, which in turn is part of the London-headquartered Old Mutual plc.

At the end of December, Old Mutual Wealth was looking after some £123.5bn in assets on behalf of its clients.
