Annegarn to succeed McGregor at Credit Suisse Channel Islands

Paul Annegarn is to succeed Roy McGregor as head of Credit Suisse’s  Guernsey-headquartered Channel Islands operations, the Swiss bank has confirmed.

McGregor is stepping down, after a decade in the role, Credit Suisse said, although he will remain with the company as an adviser. Further details weren’t given.

Annegarn’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Annegarn has been with Credit Suisse since 1997, apart from a five-year period with J.P. Morgan’s investment bank.

During his 10 years with Credit Suisse, McGregor oversaw the merger of the bank’s private banking operations in Guernsey, Gibraltar and the UK, and also at one point headed up its European equities operations.

Credit Suisse also has a branch operation in the other Channel Island of Jersey, in St Helier.
