Karen Frank named to new Barclays int’l wealth role

Barclays has promoted Karen Frank to the newly-created post of head of international wealth, as it continues a restructuring of its operations that began earlier this year.

Frank, (pictured),  has more than 20 years of banking industry experience. She joined Barclays in 2012 as managing director of the financial sponsors groups, and most recently has been co-head of this operation as well as the EMEA business and a member of the banking EMEA operating committee.

In her new role, which is effective on 1 October, Frank also joins the Barclays Corporate & International Executive Committee.

Earlier this year, Barclays chief executive Jes Staley outlined his plans for the bank’s Corporate & International division, in which he identified wealth as an an area of potential opportunity.
