FEIFA adds first SEC-regulated member

An advisory firm regulated by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and thus able to advise Americans, is one of three new members of the Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers, the organisation has announced.

The SEC-regulated advisory firm is Dunhill Financial, which is based in Brussels, and which is FEIFA’s first SEC-regulated  member company, according to FEIFA chief executive Paul Stanfield.

Dunhill Financial is headed up by founder Brian Dunhill, an American with an MBA from the University of San Francisco,  whose other accreditations include the Accredited Asset Management Certification from the College for Financial Planning and insurance licences from two US states. He is also  currently vice president of the American Club of Brussels and involved with the local American football team, the Brussels Tigers, according to the company’s website.

In addition to looking after expat Americans, Dunhill works with European expats and residents, as well as residents in the US, where the SEC licence is relevant, according to a statement issued by FEIFA today.

The other two new FEIFA members are Pure Financial and Aspire Wealth Management.

Pure Financial is based in southern Spain and specialises in advising British expats in that country.Based in Malahide, Ireland, Aspire is headed up by Eamon Porter, who was also one of the founding members of the Society of Financial Planners of Ireland, FEIFA said.

 

FEIFA is a non-profit trade association for English-speaking advisers based or operating on the European mainland. Its membership is active in more than 25 countries across the Continent, with cumulative assets estimated to be around €4bn.
