ICIJ releases Paradise Papers structured data
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists will start publishing structured data from the Paradise Papers leak today, 17 November, by offering information on some 25,000 offshore entities that can be searched via its Offshore Leaks Database.
The release will include structured data from services firm Appleby’s client records, including information on offshore companies and trusts registered in some 30 jurisdictions. The data includes shareholders, officers, addresses and other information, the ICIJ stated.
The Offshore Leaks Database already includes data from the Panama Papers and the Bahamas Leaks investigations done by members of the ICIJ, and will take the overall number of searchable records to more than 520,000.
Additional structured data will be added to the database in coming weeks, including some 100,000 records from multiple jurisdictions relating to the Paradise Papers investigation, the ICIJ added.
