Jersey Finance’s annual London funds conference set for 3 March
Major regulatory and international policy initiatives – and how these are impacting the funds industry – will be the focus of this year’s annual Jersey Finance funds conference in London.
The event will take place on Thursday, 3 March, at 8 Northumberland Avenue, beginning at 12:30pm, and running until 7pm.
According to Jersey Finance, the conference will aim to “bring together a range of world class funds professionals to discuss key issues currently shaping the global funds landscape”, including such topics as the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) programme; the so-called diverted profits tax, introduced in the UK’s Finance Act 2015, and in effect since last April; and changes in the business and tax environment for fund managers.
Just how these developments are affecting fund structuring, strategies and approaches to management substance will be debated, Jersey Finance said.
The event is expected to be attended by a range of funds practitioners including lawyers, fund managers and other finance professionals.
