Awards spotlight: Best International Trust and Estate Planning Product

With the UK government announcing a reversal of planned changes to its controversial ‘death tax’ plans, the need for trust and estate planning is firmly in thoughts of many international IFAs.

The UK government had planned to introduce a sharp increase (from the current flat fee of £215, up to a maximum £20,000) in probate fees but has now shelved the proposals indefinitely after it announced on Thursday that the proposed revisions will not have time to complete passage through parliament, due to the forthcoming 8 June election.

With international rules surrounding estate planning an ever-changing backdrop, it is timely to highlight the Best International Trust and Estate Planning Product award that will come into further focus on 5 October at the 18th annual International Fund & Product Awards, which is held in London.

In recognition of the best of international cross-border trust and estate planning product providers, the Award is now receiving entries.

In judging the panel will take into account reason why the product was launched, target market, product benefits and recent enhancements in the international trust and estate planning products cross-border industry.
