People Moves: Standard Chartered, SSGA, Julius Baer
Standard Chartered has appointed Jimmy Chang as head, Wealth Markets Products Sales, Hong Kong, effective 1 December. He replaces Stephan So, who is leaving the bank.
Chang reports to Alex Welch, global head of Wealth Markets Products Sales and Managed Investments and Stephen Man, head of Wealth Management, Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he was recently he was managing director and head of Private Health Management at Huatai Financial Holdings, where he was responsible for the growth of its wealth management platform.
With more than 30 years’ experience in banking and finance industry, he has held various senior roles in UBS, ABN Amro and Citibank.
Private bank Julius Baer has appointed Chew Mun-Yew as new head for the Taiwanese market with immediate effect.
Chew Mun-Yew joins from UBS Wealth Management, where he was most recently Taiwan country head. He will report to David Shick, head of private banking Greater China.
Prior to his Taiwan role at UBS, Chew was head of risk across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific from 2012. He has held roles at Carlyle Asia, DBS Group and American Express. Prior to his private sector career, worked for the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a senior banking and insurance regulator for more than five years.
The appointment of Mun-Yew happens one week after Julius Baer CEO Boris Collardi resigned to move to Pictet Wealth Management. Collardi has been replaced by the company’s chief risk officer Bernhard Hodler.

Yoe (pictured) replaces Jason Allan, who joined Allianz Global Investors as director, institutional business development in early November.
Yoe, who will be based in London, will report to Andrew Benton, head of U.K. institutional at SSGA.
She joins from River and Mercantile Asset Management where she was head of the UK institutional business. Prior to this, she was director for UK distribution at asset manager AMG.
