People Moves: Interactive Investor, Rosette Merchant Bank
Interactive Investor, the UK’s second largest digital investment platform, has announced the appointment of John Veichmanis as non-executive director, with immediate effect.
Veichmanis has been the chief marketing officer at online luxury marketplace Farfetch since 2015, holding responsibility for Brand Marketing and Global Demand Generation. In the course of his 20-year career, he has also held senior roles at a number of leading digital and technology businesses, including Expedia, Skype, Apple and Dell.
Commenting on Veichmanis’s appointment, Hugo Van Vredenburch, chairman of Interactive Investor, said: “I am delighted to welcome John to the Board. He brings a wealth of digital and marketing experience, which will be invaluable as we continue to build the UK’s best retail investment platform for the engaged investor.”

Rosette Merchant Bank
Rosette Merchant Bank has hired Stuart Jarvis as Investment Director. Jarvis brings a strong record in UK and European commercial real estate combined with a wealth of experience in the Islamic finance sector. A fluent Arabic speaker, Jarvis has previously held senior positions at investment houses in London, Kuwait and Malaysia.
Jarvis’s appointment adds to the Rosette Real Estate team, which has now transacted over £200 million of assets since its inception in 2016 with a further £60m currently under offer.
The news follows the recent promotions of Sam Broadhead to CEO and Adam Cavanagh to chief investment officer. Both are now leading the growth and development of the business and are looking to expand the bank into new areas that will create exciting opportunities in the Islamic finance sector.
Concurrently, Rosette is also expanding its geographic reach beyond its traditional GCC market. Amr Kenawy, Rosette’s chief business development officer, has led efforts in Malaysia and is continuing to take the Rosette business into the wider Asia Pacific markets with equal success.
